ATTENTION: Dates for the Sawmill Camping & Canoeing Trip have been modified. The trip will now begin Tuesday, June 16 instead of Monday, June 15th. It will end Thursday, June 18th. All youth are invited to participate in the Sawmill Camping & Canoeing Trip, but space is limited by the number of adult leaders we have so sign up ASAP (Deadline for signing up is the end of the day Saturday, June 13th!). Reserve a spot by texting Pastor Tony: 847.682.2405.
What to Expect: Sawmill Campground is a rustic campground north of Birchwood where we will be sleeping in tents and cooking over an open campfire. Sawmill Lake is part of a non-motorized chain of lakes that we can explore together by canoe and portaging between the lakes. Come learn the basics of canoeing and portaging. Fishing is available as long as youth have the necessary licenses and follow all DNR regulations.
Cost: $30/person. Checks can be written to Maranatha EFC.
Time: Meet at the Soul Garage @ 2:00pm Tuesday, June 16th for loading and departure. Return to the Soul Garage by 5:00pm Thursday, June 18th.
