Pizza & Game Night Aug 11

All youth 6th grade through 2017 graduates are invited to the Nord home (610 Haglin. Ave., Cameron) Friday, August 11th for our August Pizza & Game Night 6:00pm-9:00pm.

If the weather is nice and we have enough youth, we may try to get a game of Ultimate Frisbee going.

Invite your friends and come enjoy a night of food and games.

Beach & BBQ

All youth that finished 6th Grade through those who just graduated are invited to join the Soul Garage for our July Beach & BBQ Youth Event at Silver Lake Wednesday, July 26th 5:00pm-8:00pm!

This is a FREE event with food, games, swimming, and water sports.  If you have never tried waterskiing or kneeboarding or tubing, this is a great time to try it out.  We will have at least one boat to pull people.

9 Square in the Air will also be happening.

Remember to bring modest swim wear (ladies: no bikinis unless t-shirt over top, one-piece or tankini style are great; gentlemen: no speedos, regular swim shorts or board shorts are great).

Since July is the start of our 2017-2018 Ministry Year, everyone needs to fill out an updated Medical Release Form and a Permission Form.  You can find those on our website by clicking HERE.

Bring your friends!

Final Youth Group for the School Year

Wednesday, May 24th is the final youth group of the school year at the Soul Garage.  We have a full night of fun, food and activities planned.  We hope you can join us!

Come early to enjoy some food (chicken enchiladas, chips & shave ice) and extra game time starting any time after 6:00pm.

We will also be taking our annual group photo shortly after 7:00pm, so make sure you are there to get in on the photo for the wall.

If you have not attempted to escape from our escape room yet, come by 5:45pm to join the group going through the room.

We also have an End of Year Survey that can be taken online.  We would love to have all the youth fill this out before the end of the day Wednesday.  You can do it on your own or take 5-10 minutes during the night to fill out the survey using your own smart phone or using one of the computers we will have set up.  This will give us helpful feedback as we work to improve the ministry.  Here is the link to the survey:

If you would like to add a little EXTRA fun to your night, take the dress up challenge and come dressed up like one of your favorite youth leaders!

Palm Sunday Breakfast 2017

All youth are invited to join us in helping serve the church breakfast on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Maranatha Evangelical Free Church.  Thanks to all who have helped with the preparations so far!  We are excited to continue this fun tradition and hope you will be part of it with us.

There are two Sunday shifts.  Youth are encourage to serve one shift and attend service during the other time.

  • Shift 1: 6:45am-10:15am
  • Shift 2: 10:00am-2:00pm

Youth are encouraged (not required) to wear black bottom (pants/slacks/dress/skirt) and a white top.  If you do not have something like this or did not see the notice in time, try to wear a dark bottom and a light top.  Dark blue jeans would work if you don’t have black.

Please wear comfortable shoes as there will be a lot of walking around as we serve breakfast to an estimated 300 people.

Don’t forget to bring a smile and a friendly personality and positive attitude.

See you there!

Game Night @ Nords

All youth 6th-12th grade are invited to join us for another Game Night at the Nord’s Saturday, April 1st 6:00pm-9:00pm.  Our address is 610 Haglin Ave., Cameron.

This is NOT an April Fool’s joke.  It’s for real!  And we are planning on making Bacon-Wrapped Tater Tot Bombs.

If we get enough people to show up that are interested, it would be great to get a game of ultimate frisbee going at the park nearby or at the Cameron High School football field. Sun sets at 7:30, so come early to play outside.

We will be making brownies, served with ice-cream as well as some punch and other snacks.

If some aren’t interested in playing games outside in the beautiful weather, we will have board games and card games set up inside.

Hope to see you there!
