Summer is here and we are ready to do some in person events! While we are still finalizing our summer plans, we would like to kick-off our summer schedule with two events in one day – Wednesday, June 24.
Event 1: A Conversation on Current Events
Any youth and/or parents who would like to participate in a conversation about current events in our nation and our world are invited to come to the Soul Garage at 1:30pm on Wednesday, June 24. We will talk about what’s been going, how to respond as Christians and how to think critically about the messages that we see and hear on social media and in the news.
We will use elements from The Feast model that our UK Trip team learned while in the UK last summer, we will also talk about how to argue well, and we’ll discuss how to think about culture and news from a biblical perspective.
Event 2: Fun & Food
Beginning at 3:00pm, join us for fun outside (or inside if it’s raining). We’ll have organized games, food, fire and time to hang out with friends.
Masks are not required, but individuals who need to wear masks should feel free to do so.
The Soul Garage will be disinfected before the event and we will require youth to wash hands at various points throughout the event.
Social distancing guidelines will be followed as best as possible.
