We are continuing our apologetic series and our sub-series on “Gospel Competitors” in the Soul Garage. This week we are addressing what has been called “Christian Nationalism”. What exactly do people mean when they use that term? What does it mean to be patriotic? Is it wrong for Christians to love their country? Should Christians stay out of politics and focus on spiritual development or should Christians be fully engaged in politics here in America? What does it mean to pledge allegiance to the flag and to the republic for which it stands? As Christians, can we pledge allegiance to our country and our God at the same time? What does that look like?
All youth 6th-12th grade are invited to join us on May 5th as we have a discussion surrounding this important topic.
We encourage those youth that have graduated from Awana to join us for our last few weeks of youth group as well as any of our summer youth events (rock climbing, hiking, beach day, BBQ, breakout group hangouts, etc.). Parents are strongly encouraged to click the link on our website to “Follow This Blog” so you get notifications each time we post about youth group or any special events planned.
