Tonight, Matthew Jarocki led our training as we covered the question about whether the Bible can be trusted. Matthew focused on questions of how the books of the Bible were selected to be in the Bible (called canonization). Matthew shared some of his own doubts and questions he has had regarding this important aspect of the overall topic of why we can trust the Bible. We anticipated that this training tonight may leave you with some questions about this topic and we want to encourage you to think deeply about this and ask your questions and seek out answers. The overall topic of the trustworthiness of the Bible has numerous other aspects that we did not have time to cover tonight, but we want to make sure you know that there are EXCELLENT reasons we can trust the Bible, even if we don’t have answers for all of our questions. We challenge all youth and parents from the Soul Garage to watch at least 3 of the videos below to help you keep thinking through this important topic and discussing it with friends, family and youth leaders. These videos address other aspects of whether the Bible can be trusted.
