All youth 6th-12th grade are invited to join us at the Soul Garage on Wednesday, January 9th for our annual Open Mic Night. This is not a night to glorify God with your musical talents, but rather the mic is open for youth to share what God is doing in your life. This is a time to be real with each other and to encourage one another.
If you feel like God is leading you to share something with the group, we encourage you to think about what to say ahead of time. Feel free to write down what you want to say.
Perhaps God did some things in your heart and life last summer at Challenge in Kansas City or at Fall Retreat or at Districts. Encourage others be sharing what God is doing to help you grow closer to Him. Perhaps you couldn’t make it to any of these events we have done, but you have come to see Jesus in a better way through our Come & See fall teaching series. Perhaps you are struggling with some serious sins and feel the need to confess those sins publicly as you repent and seek freedom from that bondage and the love and accountability from your youth group. Perhaps you want to do a shout out to someone else in the youth group to affirm them and build them up by publicly telling others how they have been a blessing or encouragement to you. These are all examples of things that might be shared on Wednesday. Come prepared to be real with each other and encourage one another.
