The weather will be cool, particularly first thing in the morning, but we plan to host the 2nd Annual Community Garage Sale outside in the parking lot at Maranatha Evangelical Free Church in Rice Lake on Saturday, April 30th 8:00am-2:00pm.  Sellers who provided an email address should have received an email Thursday with your assigned space number(s).  If you did not receive an email, you will be directed to your space when you arrive Saturday morning.

Come dressed warmly as it will be a little windy as well. The sun should be shining and the buyers should be swarming.  Over 50 spaces were rented out this year!  Food will be sold by the youth group along with hot drinks to keep everyone warm.

Church address is 3340 S. Main St., Rice Lake, WI.

Check out the map below for parking for sellers and buyers.

Acts Series: Part 3

The way the early believers shared their life together was intense.  Why don’t we find the same sort of life together in our churches today?  What prevents us from loving each other deeply and caring for one another and doing life together like the early followers of Jesus?  These are the questions we explored last night (April 20, 2016) for part 3 of our series in the Book of Acts (Acts 2:42-47).

I challenge all youth to share the video with someone else and have a conversation about the video.

Come join us for our new Soul Garage series exploring the book of Acts and wrestling through the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives today.  The series starts this Wednesday, April 5th!  Have you ever wondered about any of these questions:

  • What is the role of the Holy Spirit?
  • Do all Christians have the Holy Spirit?
  • What does it mean to be baptized by the Holy Spirit?
  • If you have the Holy Spirit should you speak in tongues?
  • Why doesn’t the Holy Spirit lead me in the same dramatic ways as He led the early Christians?
  • Can Christians lose the Holy Spirit?

The book of Acts is one of the most exciting books in the Bible.  Crazy things happened as the Gospel message took root in peoples lives and radical transformation happened.  The Church was growing and the Gospel was spreading across the world.  The Holy Spirit was moving and lives were being changed.  Come with your questions and a willingness to dig in to what the Scriptures will teach us.
