We are in week 4 of our series through the GOSPEL Acrostic. The main point is this: Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again!
This is TRULY GOOD NEWS! We have looked at some depressingly bad news the past two teachings: Our sins separate us from God and Sins cannot be removed by good deeds. The news went from bad to worse.
But, glory to God, the story did not end there. God created a way where there seemed to be no way. God sent his one and only Son to be the Savior of the world. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life. He died a criminal’s death – the most humiliating death imaginable in the Roman world – on a cross in our place. But the grave could not hold Him down. He rose again victorious, conquering sin and death and making a way for us to be reconciled to our Creator. God’s wrath was appeased through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Let us never take for granted what Christ did on our behalf.
May we respond by surrendering our lives COMPLETELY to Christ as Lord and Savior!
