With the fresh snow, it is the perfect time to continue forming our Snow Garage. Anybody who saw the Snow Toilet sculpture at the Fornell Freezeout should be encouraged to believe that if we can sculpt a Snow Toilet, we can sculpt a Snow Garage. Come join Pastor Tony after school today, January 30th from 3-5pm to work some more on the project.
All youth 7th-12th grade are invited to join us for the First Annual Fornell Freezeout, Wednesday, January 29th from 5:00-9:00pm at the Fornell Farm.
The Fornell’s Farm is located south of Barron at 1122 13 1/2 St, Barron, WI. From Barron go south on Highway 25 for 2.5 miles. Go west on 11th Avenue for 1 mile. Turn right going north on 13 1/2 Street for a short distance and look for the Fornell Farm at 1122 13 1/2 Street.
We will be having our snow sculpting competition by grade, snow sports (football, volleyball, or broomball), a bonfire and some hot chilli and soup.
If you have questions, call or text Pastor Tony at 847.682.2405. Hope to see you there!
Here is a link with some creative ideas for the snow sculpture competition. The 7th grade guys may appreciate #36 in particular.
The weather is forecast to warm up for one day. Let’s take advantage and get outside to build the snow garage I have been dreaming about. Between 3:30-6:30pm on Friday, January 24th, I will be sculpting the big pile of snow near the Soul Garage into a snow garage. The design will be different than the one on the photo, but hopefully the photo will inspire you to come join me. The ultimate vision includes a snow car inside the snow garage. Should be a good time and good practice honing your snow sculpting skills before the Fornell Freezeout snow sculpting competition next Wednesday. Wear warm clothes, bring a shovel and come join me Friday at 3:30pm near the Soul Garage.
What a blessing to spend the weekend with all of you young men and women laughing together and learning together. I am happy for all of you that God saw fit to give you the day off school tomorrow so you could catch up on your beauty rest after a weekend of short nights. May God grant each of you the courage and strength to follow through with whatever it may be that God laid on your heart this weekend. We as leaders pray that you would grow deeper in your walk with Jesus Christ and are excited to journey alongside you as we seek to know God better, believe Him fully, trust him completely and love Him deeply. Remember to come prepared Wednesday to share what God did in your heart at Districts.
Leaders, you are amazing! Thank you for giving up a weekend to invest in the lives of these young men and women. May God give you the ability to stay awake tomorrow at work.
To all who donated scholarship funds to make this trip a possibility, we praise God for your generosity! You have made an investment in eternity. THANK YOU!
Everyone is invited to come hang out at the Soul Garage Wednesday, January 1, 2014 7:00-9:00pm. We have the building to ourselves so we will play some games in the gym, hang out together, have some laughs, dig into Ecclesiastes 12 and talk about what it would look like for us all to passionately pursue God in 2014. We will also spend some time praying for each other and for those who will be leaving Friday for the District Youth Conference in Green Bay. Whoohoo!
